LCD and display assembly replacements for cracked or damaged screens.

From£249

About This Service

Whether your MacBook screen is cracked, showing lines, flickering, or completely black, our professional screen replacement service will restore your display to perfect working order. We offer both complete display assembly replacements and, where possible, LCD-only repairs which can significantly reduce the cost. Our repairs comply with ISO 13406-2 standards for acceptable defect levels, ensuring you receive a high-quality replacement. For newer MacBook Pro models with Liquid Retina XDR displays, we can transplant the serialised display chipset to prevent compatibility warnings and maintain True Tone functionality. We are one of the first independent repair providers in the UK to offer LCD-only replacements for MacBooks, making premium screen repairs accessible at affordable prices.

For 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with notch displays, we perform a display chipset transplant to maintain factory pairing and prevent any warning messages. This is a complex procedure requiring specialist equipment. LCD-only repairs are available for some older models, offering significant cost savings compared to full display assembly replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between LCD-only and full display assembly replacement?

LCD-only replacement involves separating the LCD panel from the display assembly and replacing just the panel the glass and housing are preserved. Full display assembly replaces the entire screen unit. LCD-only is more affordable but requires specialist skills and equipment.

Will I lose True Tone after screen replacement?

We preserve True Tone calibration where possible by transferring the serialised chipset from your original display. For some models and replacement types, True Tone may not be retained, but we will advise you before proceeding.

How long does a MacBook screen replacement take?

Most screen replacements are completed within 2-4 working days after we receive your MacBook. LCD-only repairs may take slightly longer due to the delicate separation process.

Can you repair a MacBook screen with a single crack?

Yes, even a single crack requires screen replacement as the damage affects the structural integrity and will likely spread over time. We recommend repairing cracks promptly before they worsen.
