Your personal files are only ever accessed if you use our data recovery service. We do not ask for passwords as part of our repair service as Apple Silicon introduces a new diagnostic method (Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair).

For Intel MacBook models with T2 chip, we need the login password for testing:

• MacBook Pro introduced in 2018 through 2020 (excluding M1)
• MacBook Air introduced in 2018 through 2020 (excluding M1)
• Mac mini (2018)

• Repair Data: Stored as long as necessary to complete the service, then securely deleted to HMG Infosec Standard 5.
• CCTV and Audio Recordings: CCTV stored for up to 60 days, telephone recordings for up to 3 years.

We will not share your personal data with any third party unless:

• Required to complete your service (courier services)
• Necessary to comply with legal obligations
• Obligated to share with law enforcement under Article 6 of GDPR

Your data may be passed on to relevant authorities in instances of illegal activity.
