Who We Are

Established in October 2010, BITS was born out of a need for reliable computer repair services in Bournemouth. Our founders saw a gap in the market—most repair shops were focused on phones, with computer services offered as an afterthought. On top of that, customers faced the frustration of hidden pricing, often waiting days for a quote. By the time you received a quote, the hassle of going elsewhere felt like too much. BITS set out to change that with transparent, upfront pricing and a sole focus on computers.

Our Journey

Initially, we were just a small group of people working on a project we believed in. Over time, our team steadily grew, welcoming experienced technicians from various backgrounds, all with a shared interest—the humble Apple Mac. Drawn by its reliability, forward-thinking design, and ease of repair, we dedicated our focus to specialising in Apple Macs.

Nationwide Service

Though we started in Bournemouth, working out of two floors, we now serve the entire nation. BITS has become the approved computer repair company for Bournemouth University, Arts University Bournemouth, and Bournemouth & Poole College, serving both students and staff. Whenever students require a repair, they are directed to us.

Global Reach

We are one of the first repair providers in the country—and worldwide—to offer LCD-only replacements. This innovation has brought us requests from across the globe, including countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden, and Bangladesh. We are also one of the only stores to have invested in a forensic grade laminar flow hood to mimic factory conditions for screen repairs.

Commitment to Quality

At BITS, we continuously reinvest in our store, bringing in better tools, software, and security than you'd find in an Apple Store. Unlike many others, we never outsource. When you send your Mac to us, it stays in our hands from start to finish, leaving only when we securely return it through Royal Mail.
